Milkiland expressed its commitment to collaborate with Rospotrebnadzor to test the Group’s products

08.02.2012

Press-release

On February 7, 2012, cheese factories of Milkiland Group sent an official letter to Gennadiy Onischenko, Head of the Russian Federal Service on Customers’ Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance (Rospotrebnadzor). With this letter, Milkiland expressed its readiness to Mr. Onischenko’s proposal to cooperate directly with producing plants.

Milkiland Group would like to invite Rospotrebnadzor officials to visit its production sites immediately in order to control the production process and to test all products stored with up to 30 days of maturity.

Kostiantyn Laptsov, Director of DE Milkiland Ukraine, said that efficient cooperation and regular testing can both help to handle the disputes with Rospotrebnadzor checks and prevent any consumer concerns about the quality of their favorite Ukrainian cheese.

The letter says that cheese-producing plants of Milkiland Group neither use vegetable oils in their production process, nor produce so called cheese products (cheese-like products containing vegetable oils) for either Ukrainian market or for exports in any countries.

All cheese produced by Milkiland Group fully comply with the Russian “Technical Regulations for Milk and Dairy Products” (Federal Law No. 88 dated June 12, 2008) and GOST (State Standard) R 52686-2006 “Cheese. General Technical Terms” and do not contain vegetable oils.

To prove the above, Milkiland forwarded copied protocols of test made by Rosselkhoznadzor on January 27, 2012 and January 30, 2012, Soyuzekspertiza and Russian National Research Institute of Dairy Industry (GNU VNIMI) to Rospotrebnadzor. These protocols confirm that only raw milk was used to produce cheese by Milkiland cheese plants.
