Mena cheese plant (“Prometey” subsidiary of the Milkiland Group) informed Rospotrebnadzor on its readiness for the inspection of the experts of this authority

Mena cheese plant (“Prometey” subsidiary of the Milkiland Group) is ready for the inspection of experts of the Russian Federal Service on Customers’ Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance (Rospotrebnadzor) and is going to provide a full support for their activities during the visit. The letter with the respective invitation has been sent today to the Chief sanitary officer of Russian Federation Mr. Gennadiy Onishchenko.

“We are ready to arrange and support all necessary activities in Ukraine  to allow Rospotrebnadzor’s experts to complete the second phase of inspection of the Group’s plant, which export to Russian Federation was suspended,” commented Anatoly Yurkevych, Chairman of the Board of Milkiland N.V.

On 18 March 2012, the media published a statement of Mr. Onishchenko concerning his view on a best way of settlement of the situation with the limitations of Ukrainian cheese export to Russia imposed by Rospotrebnadzor. He believes, that it can be resolved by establishment of direct contacts of Ukrainian cheese producers and Rospotrebnadzor’s experts.

“Mena cheese plant fulfilled all of the requirements of the first documentary phase of the inspection and is ready for open collaboration with Rospotrebnadzor’s experts in order to support prompt in-site inspection of our cheese production facilities”stated Elena Lazyrko, the Director of Mena cheese plant.
