The Counsellor visited the new state-of-the-art dairy farm in Krasnoselske village to be launched in August 2013.

During the visit, Mr. Krajenbrink and Mr. Mykola Kvasha, Deputy Director of Milkiland-Agro, discussed the supplies of high quality milk to Milkiland dairy processing subsidiaries and the farm’s social role for the region.

They also raised the issue of personnel qualification in the dairy sector and local unemployment. Mr. Krajenbrink and Mr. Kvasha discussed the opportunities of the Group’s cooperation with the Agricultural Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in order to communicate the experience.

At Mena Cheese, the plant’s CEO Olena Lazirko showed the production of hard and soft mould cheese to the guest. Experts discussed food quality standards and their relevance to the EU regulations, as well as opportunities of cheese exports to the EU after an Association Agreement and a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement are signed.

Mr. Evert Jan Krajenbrink highly appreciated the dairy farm and Milkiland’s ambition to invest into high quality milk production in Ukraine. He was also impressed by the smooth high-tech production process at Mena Cheese and the personnel dedication, as well as with the high quality of dairy produced there. “It’s impressive to be here, and to see how cheese is being made here”,said Mr. Krajenbrink.“It is amazing to see how soft moulded cheese is being made. When you’re in a supermarket buying this kind of cheese, you can’t even imagine with how much love it is being produced”.
